Our Journey
I witnessed both my mother and mother-in-law grow increasingly dependent on health care assistance in the final seasons of their lives. The treatment they received as low-income seniors from nursing homes and inadequate in-home and respite care service providers was shocking and infuriating.
When they passed away, the sting of those memories lingered and I discovered that others had endured the same anguish and frustration I did. I was ignited to do something about their ill-treatment and that of others.
As a devout Christian, I prayed and was instructed by God to take action and be the change I wanted to see. The vision for Elderlescent Care was birthed and the agency was built from the ground up.
Our dynamic mission is as unique as our name which originates from the two populations we serve, elders (senior citizens) and adolescents. Driven by our motto, “To mend the cultural breach between elders and adolescents,” our programs and services, “bridge the health care disparity gap and mend the breach between generations.”
Recognizing the staggering decline in social respect towards elders and the insufficient rearing and mentorship of adolescents and young adults, we created an innovative platform that enables both populations to thrive, live life to the fullest, and value every stage of life.
Serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, we break through cultural and communication barriers to serve all, and that includes you.
